Beautiful Sunday

Sunday was an early morning for me. Dusty had to go to work at 6a so he set his alarm for 5:15a but didnt get up until 5:40a so we all know that means 35 mins of alarms going off. Well shortly after he left Miss D started coughing pretty bad so I went in her room thinking she would go back to sleep since it was 6a (really 5a because of the time change)!! Well guess what she was sitting up on her bed and got up as soon as I came in with the water. She was a very good girl all morning, even when I could barely keep my eyes open. Dusty got home at about 10:30a and Devin was super excited to see him. She ate lunch at about 11:30 and then it was nap time for EVERYONE!! Well needless to say Devins' poop woke her up after about 30 mins so I got up with her! After daddy got up from his nap we decided we better go to Wal Mart and get Devin some more diapers. When we were out it was so beautiful that we decided to go to the park. Devin had a great time and she even went down the big kid roundy round slide by herself. Everytime she hit the ground off of the slide she said ready and wanted you to put her back at the top so she could do it again. All in all we had a GREAT day!

I got my baby back!

Devin and I had a lot of fun time with Taeler and Taeler was a VERY good girl. Devin on the other had drove me insane and I wasnt quite sure if we were starting the terrible twos or it she was just horribly jealous. Well I figured it out today! Devin was my baby again. She was sweet and happy all day. I didnt have to get on  to her except when she got behind the TV which is her favorite thing to do. I guess it was all in gods plan when he put me in the teaching program which made Dusty and I put off our plans of having another baby. Devin is NOT ready for someone that she has to compete with. I am so glad she is a happy fun baby and I think that is why I had so much of a problem these past two weeks. Whenever your baby is perfect it is hard when they even have the slightest attitude problems.

With that said, we met Marley in Denton yesterday to give him  his baby back! He has been asking for her back since the weekend I went to get her! We really didnt do to much yesterday because we have all been so worn out from having two baby girls to keep up with. Devin is doing VERY good in her big girl bed. The only problem we are having is nap time. I think maybe nap time is going into non existince. She knows its light outside so she thinks it is play time, but at night I dont have a problem with her. I put her in bed and she usually goes right to sleep and stays that way. Dusty and I just hung out and played some Wii because he had to go to work at 6a!!

Pee Pee Bed

We have had a hard time because Taeler was fully potty trained but when she broke her arm she had a little set back. This wouldnt have been a problem but we werent told about it until it happened the 3rd time! On Tuesday night when I went to bed I was getting Taeler up to go to the restroom and realized that she had  already peed the bed. So I got her up and cleaned her up. The only problem was that she is like her mother and sleeps all over the bed so the spot was half where she lays and half where Dusty lays. Needless to say only one person could sleep in the bed that night so Taeler got it.

I stayed up way to late because I usually read to go to sleep but I was having to sleep on the guest bed in Devins' room so I couldnt read. Dusty was going to sleep on the couch but about 2 he came in there to sleep in the bed with me. We havent slept together in that bed since I moved here over 2 years ago. The guest bed is a queen and my bed is a california king, which is a big difference in size. We made it through the night and got the bed cleaned. Taeler will now be sleeping in pull ups cause I dont want my bed to be ruined. Poor baby! I know exactly how it feels and how embarrasing it is so I dont get on to her or bring it up again. When I make the bed back up she always asks me why I changed it and I just tell her it is time. Hoepfully she will get back on track when her mom gets back.

Big Girl Bed Day 2-Monday

Today Dusty put Devin down for nap in her big girl bed. He wasnt very convinced that she was asleep there though so when she woke up and knocked on the door I felt of the bed to see if it was warm. It wasnt warm but there wasnt a place on the floor that was warm either so I have no idea where she slept.

Devin is very funny. When I use to put her to bed she would talk for about an hour but now she maybe talks 5 mins and then everything is quiet. I put her to bed at 730 and when I went to check on her at 9 I hit her with the door because she was asleep in front of it. I moved her to her bed and she went back to sleep. When Dusty got home we checked on her because she was fussing and she was on the floor in front of the door. We put her back in bed and when Dusty went to change her diaper at 1230 she was on the floor yet again. I dont know where she sleeps the rest of the night because when she wakes up in the mornings she gets up and knocks on the door.

Big Girl Bed

On Sunday, I converted Devins' bed into a day bed. I know what you are thinking..doesnt she have enough on her plate with Taeler being her, but I wanted to change it before Taeler got her but decided I shouldnt cause they would be playing all night. Taeler has ended up sleeping in our bed because when we first go her she was sick and coughing real bad and I didnt want her waking Devin up all hours of the night. So I went ahead and took down the footboard because she is ready!

Devin and Taeler had a great time getting on and off of her new bed! We put Devin in her bed about 7p Sunday night. I went to take a shower and when I came out Dusty said that Devin had been knocking on her door for about 15 mins. She had stopped by the time I got in there though and all was quiet. So about 8:30 I decided to go check on her. I opened the door and looked in her bed and she wasnt in there. I looked around the room and there she was on the floor at the corner of the guest bed asleep. I picked her up and put her back in bed and when Dusty went in to change her at 12 she was in the floor again.

This Week

I havent had much blogging time this week. Actually, I havent had much time to do ANYTHING. I have been in a super stressed/bad mood. Devin is being a TOTAL terror. She hits Taeler and throws things her and all Taeler is trying to do it play with her. There are times of total togetherness but anytime Taeler gets close to Dusty or I or if Devin thinks we are paying more attention to Taeler than we are to her she starts whinning or crying. I love my baby but sometimes I just want to scream!! I have carried her around more this week because she knows if I am holding her I can't hold or play with Taeler. I am VERY over loaded right now with school, work, my maid duties and the girls. Poor Dusty I know he must think I have gone over the deep end but dont worry I will be back!

Today we went to the Safari in Glen Rose. The girls had so much fun but I can definatly tell who is the bigger scardy cat...Taeler. Devin was half way out the window trying to pet the animals and everytime one would try to stick its nose in the car Taeler would freak out. I actually had a giraffe eat out of my hand. It was awesome except for the fact that he was scraping my hand REALLY hard with his teeth and his breath was KICKIN like Bruce Lee! I almost threw up it smelt so bad! All in all we had a great day and hopefully we can go do something fun tomorrow like go to a good park!

MONDAY, MONDAY, OH MONDAY!!

Today might possibly be the WORST Monday morning I have had in a LONG time. I got woke up at 7 this morning because there was something wet on my leg. Poor Taeler had an accident and I happend to be at the receiving end of the pee. So I got her up and we went and got in the bath. I got Dusty up and stripped the bed before I left so that the bed could be cleaned and dry by the time it was ready for us to go to bed tonight. Taeler fell just before I left and did not want me to leave her. I went outside and guess what..ITS RAINING!!! Really?? Can the precip stop??

I called the Dr office so they could call Devin in some meds because she is sick now. The receptionist said that he doesnt call in meds without seeing the patient so...I have to take her in AGAIN!! This made me cry because I had told him she was getting sick when we went in there for Taeler on Friday!!

When I got to work and got ready to get out of my car I realized I didnt have my umbrella! So I had to walk all the way from the back of the parking lot in freezing rain.

After I had been at work for about an hour and a half Dusty called but I was pretty busy so I couldnt answer. He text me and said that Taeler had locked the back door and he was out on the patio!!!! She was in the house playing in the lotion and couldnt get the lock back down..so I had to leave work early and come home to let him back in!!! That kinda made things better because it actually made me laugh.

I took Devin to the Dr. and guess what he said as soon as he came in the room...."I guess you were right the other day!" REALLY?? Of course I was right I KNOW my daughter!!

After the Dr I had to go sign a background check at my friend Katys' school so that I can get some time in at the school for my teaching classes. Katy is so great for helping me out.

Things are looking up and I am so thankful for that! Tomorrow is Tuesday! YAY no more Monday!!

Much Better Sunday

Sunday was a MUCH better day! Two of Devins canine teeth are through and I think the other two are working on it. She felt much better. Taeler is helping me and being a very good girl. We went to the park after Dusty finished watching hockey. It was kinda cold though so we only stayed for about 30 mins. After that we went to the store to get something to cook for dinner. While we were in the store Taeler was in the basket and Dusty started going and Tae wasnt paying attention so she hit her eye. We got that over with and then she was getting in the car and slipped and bumped her forehead. WHEW she had a rough 30 mins.  After the store we came home got the girls fed and a bath and put Miss D to bed. Dusty and I cooked chicken, steak, and fried rice because that was my "last meal" before starting South Beach again tomorrow. I put Tae to bed about 8:30 and Dusty went in there about 9:30 and she was still up watching TV. Silly girl!

Day by Day

Yesterday I had my first real test. I had to take Devin and Taeler to the doctor because Taeler has a horrible cough. It wasnt too awfully bad except for the parts where Taeler wouldnt get on the scale and Devin went under the table and came up too fast and hit her head. Taeler just has a small cold and the Dr said that it is probably because she has had allergies pretty bad and it just turned into a cold. Hopefully Devin wont get it but I wouldnt lay money on it.

Today has been HORRIBLE. Devin didnt go to bed until 11:30 last night and she woke up at 1a crying. She has been a HELL raiser ALLDAY!! I actually had to leave the house and take Taeler to the park because I could not handle it. While we were at the park I was trying to think of reasons why Devin would be acting like this. She is usually the PERFECT baby and is in a great mood.There are two possibilities that I came up with 1)She is SUPER tired. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night he went to bed WAY past her bed time and she has not taken a long nap any of those days. 2) She is getting sick. It is very likely that she is getting sick and just plain doesnt feel good. These are two very probably causes. As I suspected there was a reason but not one that I had thought of. I felt in her mouth just by some small chance that she was cutting teeth and much to my surprise we had two new canines. I didnt really consider this because we have NEVER had any problems cutting teeth. Usually I dont even know they are there until by some chance I see them but believe me this time it is different.

The girls are having a GREAT time together, me on the other hand I might have to check into a psych ward when this is over and it has NOTHING to do with Taeler!!! I love them both and Dusty is doing a GREAT job putting up with me and my crazyness!!

Hard Night

Last night was a rough night for both Devin and me. She pooped in the bath AGAIN. It was kind of my fault because I knew she hadnt pooped all day but she really wanted to take a bath. I guess from  now on if she doesnt poop during the day she doesnt get a bath that night. I dont know what else to do because the internet says not to punish her because that will effect potty training. Ugh so frustrating!!!!

Double Trouble

Tomorrow is the day! Devin and I are heading to Tulia tomorrow to pick up Taeler and bring her back with us. She will be here for 3 weeks. I am hoping this will take some of the pressure off of me to entertain. I am also hoping Taeler will give Devin the idea that it is time to tee tee in the potty. Taeler is potty trained so I am crossing my fingers Devin will be TRYING by the time our 3 weeks is up.

Terrible Twos

I have decided that Devin is starting the terrible twos early. She is very defiante and I can say her name 50 times and she still doesnt pay attention. I am trying very hard to be understanding but sometimes enough is enough. She is still a very sweet little girl and I know she is just trying to see how far she can actually push  me before she gets in trouble.

One thing that I have found that has helped out immensly is the TV I put in her room. I turn it on and she goes in there and plays instead of getting into everything in the living room that she is not suppose to. When we wake up she wants on the bed to watch Mo(Elmo) and when she gets out of the bath she wants on the bed to watch Mo. She is a very independant little girl.

Update

Devin will be 18 months old on the 4th of March. She is something else. There are days that I think...who is this little person?? We have adventures EVERYDAY!! I cant believe how different she is from week to week. We had a super adventerous day on Friday. She climbed on the kitchen table(I do watch her but she had been sitting at the table eating gold fish and the next thing I know she is on top of the table), next she was playing in her room and I realized it got very quiet so I got up to go check on her and she came running down the hall with Desitin all around her mouth, then at bath time she was "swimming" and all of the sudden started grunting and it was too late. So I got to clean poop out of the bath! YAY!

Crystal-I am super stressed this semester. I was told I couldnt get into the teaching program at Tech this semester so I decided to take 17 hrs here in Dallas. Well at the LAST minute the program director called and said she could get me in so I took on 6 more hours for a total of 23 hrs. I am also still working part time. Devin is wanting to stay up later so my study/homework time is VERY limited but somehow I am getting it done!

Dusty-Is being a GREAT supporter. He gives Devin and me everything that we need and he almost NEVER gripes. He is a great dad and husband(well might as well call him that)!! As for him, he had some chest pains a month ago and thought it was his heart but thank goodness he was only having anxiety because of work and it is very easily controlled.

We are all doing great and I will try to be better at this!
